Rain Rain go away
Looks like the rainy days are here to stay. Been raining like forever today. It rained in the morning and in the afternoon and in the night. The early part of the day was spent in dreamland until I woke up at 10:30am. Still early considering I woke up close to 12pm the day before. No plans for the day, no one coming to my place to visit and no plans to go visiting either. Been a pretty quiet New Year I must say with lesser families to visit. Might as well, cause I usually get so bored at these gatherings.
Alexis came over in the afternoon and we watched Iron Ladies 2 with Matthew. Disappointing show, not as much laughs as the first one. You know what they always say abt sequels. The rain stopped for a while in the late afternoon, so we thought we'll go out for some fresh air and headed west to West Coast. I was so fascinated by the adventure playground. Now I know why Eeleen says that it's a nice place. It seemed like a lot of fun too bad it just rained and the ground was wet. If not you would have seen the kid in me running around as well.
Anyway bugger, bugger, it started to drizzle and finally poured. We had to run all th way back and boy did we realize how unfit we were! We were panting away and I ended up in stitches. We went to the Cheese Prata shop along Fong Seng and had a variety of pratas, from cheese and egg to Chicken and cheese murtabak. Although I know better than to abstain from such heaty food after days of bua gua, pineapple tarts and all sorts of sinful indulgence over the festive period, I happily downed the pratas with the pipping hot teh chino.
And since it didn't stop raining what better way to spend the day than to curl up in bed and tuck myself in. Looks like I've been influenced by Alexis sleepy ways.. *yawn* Now if you'll excuse me while I catch up on more sleep.....
