Bowling Nite

Back from my company's bowling tournament. To think that with my lousy skills I can still be part of a team. They must really be so kind to me. Just after the 2nd round, I broke my nail. Yes, the one on my right thumb, which resulted in my lousy score by the way. Then again have I already mentioned that I have no skills to speak of anyway.

But the whole evening was really enjoyable. In fact, I think that my present company is one where people really take time to have fun. Where there are so many committes to plan activities, from sports to D&D, healthy lifestyle, and all. Even our CEO bothered to turn up and mingle with everyone and bowl with the rest of us while we cheer and jeer at each other. And though my score of a hundred didn't get me a place to the final play offs, I really enjoyed myself. Seeing everyone let their hair down, knowing who are the ultra competitive ones, the tai ko ones, the skillful ones and like me the ones who just take part for the mere fun of it.

Working in this company has been a refreshing change in environment. One where you can speak your mind, one where colleagues have no hidden agenda, one where you see your bosses act stupid in front of you without being embrassed. I appreciate it a lot, though there have been moments that I wish I didn't have to go to work, I think I still like it here. Pity that my boss is leaving soon. I'll miss his nonsense.
