One more last birthday as a 20+ before I hit the big 30! And to that Alexis told me, welcome to the club.
For my 29th birthday, Alexis treated me to a stay in sunny island Bintan. We stayed at the Bintan Lagoon Resort for 3 days and 2 nights. Was a relaxing holiday, basking under the sun, swimming, chilling at the beach, catching upon reading and getting a nice healthy tan.
The highlight of the trip was the night looking for fireflies. The nicest sight was watching them light up the top of the trees like a christmas tree. Heh too bad their glow don't last too long so we decided to release them when we got back to the hotel. First time we explored out to Pasar Oleh Oleh for massage and dinner. Massage was disappointing despite the taxi driver's recommendation as an authentic massage spa. Dinner was better and we had my favorite cereal prawns. Yums! Last day was spent lazing on the beach before we head back to Singapore.
And on my birthday, Alexis surprised me with flowers before lunch. Like it so much esp since I havent received flowers for a while.
Had lunch at Edogawa restaurant at Velocity. Their Australian beef teppanyaki set lunch was surprising yummy. And to finish off the day, we're going to have Jap food at Iciban sushi later. :) Day of jap food, my favorite!
